Welcome to V&A Cafe
Serving North Berkeley since 1993 (with Nefeli Cafe and Odyssia Bistro), V&A is our newest cafe located on the north side of the UC Berkeley campus on Hearst Avenue near Euclid. Offering plenty of outdoor seating, either on our large outdoor glassed-in patio with peak views of San Francisco, or along the canopied breezeway between the neighboring engineering buildings of Soda, Jacobs, and Etcheverry. A stone’s throw from the Hearst Greek theater and California Memorial Stadium, V&A is a great place for a meal or aperitif before or after your event.
We uphold seasonal, fresh, locally-sourced, produce and meats in all of our recipes and make almost everything from scratch including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free offerings. Hearty, elegant, home-cooking on campus. Finally!
Grab a quick, healthy snack to go, or dine with us inside our vibrant new space which includes private patios overlooking Hearst Avenue and the San Francisco Bay.
We are proud to feature Portioli coffee from Italy in all of our espresso bar drinks. Try a cup paired with one of our locally baked artisanal snacks or desserts.
